Care for Jewelry

CARING FOR YOUR VINTOUCH JEWELRY

All Vintouch pieces are designed to last a lifetime with the aim to be worn everyday. Learn more about how to care for them, and preserve their beauty.
GOLD PLATED AND STERLING SILVER_
  • To keep your 18 karat gold-plated or sterling silver heirlooms as shiny as possible, we advise you to avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions or cosmetics.
  • Swimming, showering or exercise is not recommended, as it will tarnish the metals over time.
(All our pieces are available in solid gold, if you never want to take them off, come rain or shine. Just drop us an e-mail to ask for further informations).
  • When your Vintouch jewelry is not on your person, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably its box or pouch to preserve its original shine.
  • Wipe your jewelry clean with soft cloth before putting it away, to rest.

Don’t forget, if your Vintouch jewelry needs any sort of restoration, we offer a 2-years complimentary service. Simply contact customercare@vintouchjewels.com for advice and assistance.

FRESHWATER PEARLS

  • Pearls are natural materials and can be fragile, handle them with care and love. When carrying them on your travels, protect them in a box or pouch.
  • To clean your pearls, apply a small amount of washing up liquid to a cloth, and wipe them clean with a damp sponge. Do not allow the gold-plated or sterling silver castings come into contact with soap or water.
  • We are always happy to restore your pearls in our studio, upon request.

BLACK RHODIUM PLATED
  • To keep your black rhodium plated heirlooms as shiny as possible, we advise you to avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions or cosmetics.
  • Swimming, showering or exercise is not recommended, as it will tarnish the metals over time.
  • When your talisman is not on your person, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably its box to preserve its strength, as it preserves yours.
  • Wipe your jewellery clean with soft cloth before putting it away, to rest.
  • Due to the nature of black rhodium plating, over time, the colour may change with wear from dark black to lighter oil tones.
