Carnation Green Cameo Necklace With Agate

The Carnation cameo necklace features a hand-carved porcelain cameo depicting a floral composition of roses, carnations and lily of the valley — a combination traditionally associated with love, devotion and purity.

Each element contributes to a layered meaning: the rose for affection and beauty, the carnation for deep attachment, the lily of the valley for renewal and sincerity. Together, they form a balanced composition rooted in the symbolic language of flowers.

The cameo is set in 18k gold-plated sterling silver with a protective palladium layer and forms the pendant of a green agate necklace. The depth of green tone of porcelain enhances the relief of the carving, giving the piece a more defined and structured presence. Each necklace is handcrafted in our atelier in Italy by skilled artisans using traditional cameo carving techniques.

In 19th century, floral compositions like this were worn as coded expressions of sentiment. Rather than a single message, they conveyed a combination of meanings — a practice that continues to define the narrative depth of cameo jewelry today.
